Swedish Transport Administration and SAFER Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre are pleased to invite you to the 24th International Technical Conference on the Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV) in Gothenburg, Sweden, on June 8-11, 2015.
After more than 25 years, once again the International Technical Conference on Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV) is being hosted by Sweden. The ESV conference is internationally focused on vehicle safety and is supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and many other participating Governments across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.
The ESV conference is unique and invaluable to the global community. It provides opportunities to share innovative advances in motor vehicle safety and encourage international cooperation. ESV attendees include members of governments, automobile manufacturers and their suppliers, safety researchers and other motor vehicle safety professionals, medical, insurance, legal and policy professionals, consumers, academia, students and international media.
The conference program will be offering Plenary Session, Special Workshops, Technical Sessions on a variety of safety topics, Exhibition, Ride & Drive demonstrations of future safety technologies, Technical Demos at AstaZero, and Technical Visits. The ESV2015 theme "Traffic Safety Through Integrated Technologies" will permeate the whole conference.

ESV2015 will be located at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in the city centre of Gothenburg. Sweden and Gothenburg have a long tradition of safety research and development for cars, trucks and roads. This has resulted in a world-leading status within the area of vehicle and traffic safety.
Gothenburg is “the city of safety” located in the heart of Scandinavia, easily accessible from around Europe. At the technical visits, the very latest technology within vehicle safety at Volvo Car Corporation, Volvo Group, Autoliv, Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute and Chalmers University of Technology, among others, will be demonstrated. At AstaZero, the brand new active safety test area just outside of Gothenburg, high-speed safety systems will be demonstrated.
Getting around in Gothenburg is also easy and the meeting venue is centrally located within comfortable walking distance from hotels and restaurants. With a stunning archipelago on the doorstep we assure you will get a whole new meeting experience.
